Kashi Banaras - City of Lights on the Banks of River Ganga

Inspired by the charismatic, spellbinding, and endlessly fascinating city "KASHI", this is a timeless masterpiece of art handwoven by our highly talented weaver poets!
The border comes with a glorious outline of Varanasi's Ghats, lovingly handwoven on a base of resplendent silk in Gold zari. Incredible in its details and a mirror to the splendour of Banaras as seen from the river Ganga. Motifs on the saree are woven in lights pattern to shine in remembrance to Varanasi known as City of Lights.

Katan is a thread, prepared by twisting a different number of silk filaments which gives a firm structure to the background fabric. Katan is a plain woven fabric with pure silk threads.

Kadhua is the traditional art of hand-stitched designs on pure silk yarn. In a Kadhuan weave each buti or motif is woven individually. While this takes longer on the handloom, it makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.

Fabric: Banarasi Katan Soft Silk
Color: A ravishing shade of Purple and Pink with orange selvage.
Blouse: Pink with Ghat border unstitched blouse.
Pico, Fall & Tassels: Stitched- Saree ready to wear
