Gadwal silk sarees are considered world famous for handloom zari sarees. It is woven in the historic town of Gadwal, in the state of Telengana. They are most notable for the intricate zari weaving designs on the saree. The best part of a Gadwal saree is that it can be folded to match the size of a match box without ruining any part of the saree. Gadwal handlooms are quite popular for the durability of the various colour mixtures that are used in the yarn.
